Look What I Can Do!

That's right, Reese is starting to sit up! She thinks that she is pretty clever. She still falls over a bit, in fact about 1 second after I took this, she totally fell over. I wasn't able to catch her, so she gave me this funny look, like she was thinking "Why did you let me do that?"
Don't you just love the pokey ears and fuzzy hair? You can't help but grin when you look at her.
I feel kind of bad whenever I have a new baby. I am constantly taking pictures of her, and not the other girls. They are always trying to get in the pictures, and I feel like I'm always shooing them away. It's kind of like when you get a new car. You always want to drive it instead of your old one. You still love the old car, but the the new one seems more exciting. (Does that sound rude)?
Oh well, I just tell the older girls that I took a million pictures of them when they were babies. I don't think it gets any better than this... she is an absolute joy!

Happy Birthday Ninny!

Can you believe that my little stinker is 4 already? I sure can't!!

Ginny is at the funniest age. When we asked her what she wanted for her birthday dinner, she kept telling us that she wants to "Eat Fresh". She has called Subway this for about a year now. For some reason she LOVES this place! She can pound a 6" sub loaded with everything but peppers and onions, and still have room for more. Well, we gave in, and let her eat fresh for dinner. Then she had to have cupcakes with sprinkles. (Dang her.... I had 2 cupcakes and a slim fast for breakfast this morning)!!

She had school that morning, so of course had to wear her school birthday crown all day. She even wore it to lunch. We picked up DJ from work, and took her to Peking Wok. That girl loves Chinese food, she even does a pretty funny chinese accent. Other than that, she just spent the entire day playing with her new toys. (Moon Sand is VERY messy... if you don't like Play Doh, you really won't like Moon Sand)!

We are glad that we have her, she definately keeps things interesting. When Reese hears her voice she starts kicking, and looking around to find her. Ginny can just smile at her, and she laughs. It's the cutest thing.

Happy Birthday Ginny!

What Do I DO Now?

Well, Addie went home yesterday, both Taylor an d Ginny are at school, and Reese is napping. I don't know what to do with myself! If it weren't snowing, then I would get a jump on some yardwork..... Oh well!

It is so weird being back to 3 kids. I keep looking around to see who's missing. After having 4 kids for 10 days, it just became routine. Ginny is mad because Laurel and Brian were supposed to go on a really, really long cruise, for lots, and lots of days!

We had so much fun with Addie though. It was so funny to watch her dance (spin in a circle) to Hannah Montana music. She loved playing with the play kitchen, and the dolls.... it was really cute. What cracked me up the most though, was the way she freaked out if she saw anyone in the kitchen. As soon as someone was in there, she would run over and say, "Nack", (snack) or "Tea" (eat). When it came time to fix a meal, I would have to close her in the toy room until her food was ready. She was so funny!

Seriously though, it was so nice to have an 18 month old that could come over to my house, and just go down to sleep without a second's thought. She took wonderful naps, and slept 12 hours straight without a single peep! She ate everything that I gave her, including spinach and blueberries. (She even swept up under her chair, after meal time). We really enjoyed having her over.... I wouldn't mind keeping her forever. Laurel, if you and Brian have any unrealized dreams, that don't include kids.... I'm here to take your kid off of your hands!

I know Laurel... you and Brian could get jobs with a cruise line. You could be a performer, and Brian could be a bartender or something. I think that is a great idea! Let me know when you are leaving!

Pope Joan

I finished reading Pope Joan, and absolutely LOVED it! I would definately recommend it.
We actually met last night, and had a very interesting discussion on it.
I just can't believe some of the crap that the Catholics have done and believed over the years. They claim that there was never a women Pope, but interestingly enough, they actually practiced a ritual for over 600 years, that "checked" to see if the Pope was really a man. They had a chair with a cutout on the seat, that would allow for the genitals to hang down. During the papal consecration ceremony, a deacon would examine the individual, and declare that he was in fact a man, after which he would be declared pope. Crazy!
If you haven't ever read this book, go pick it up at the library. If not, they are going to begin filming a movie sometime this year. I can't wait!!

In Just 20 Minutes.....

Now normally, you wouldn't think that much can be accomplished in just 20 minutes...... Unless you leave Ginny and Addie to go take a shower. I put up a gate at the top of the stairs, and made sure that all Polly Pockets and other little items were out of Addie's reach. I hurried as fast as I could.... I even skipped shaving, but they still had enough time to destroy both Reese's and Ginny's rooms.

I should put them to work in a sweat shop and see how fast they can work. That might be a good way to make some extra change. They had already destroyed the toy room, and Taylor's room. I now understand why my Mom would always ask us why we only like to play in a room that's clean. If we leave a room messy, the kids always move on to another. Craziness!

Ginny has been in heaven the last week. She has had so much fun playing with Addison every day. When Addie wakes up, the first thing she says is, "Iiinnee!" (that's what she calls Ginny). It is so funny. It has actually been pretty fun having 4 girls. Addie fits right in just like she's my own. Which brings up another point.... Laurel's worst nightmare has come true. Addie has been calling me Mama. I've been trying my hardest to get her to call me Ginger, but it's only Mama. When I come in the room she says, "Mama!!!".

Sorry La..... I tried my hardest to avoid that!

Ginny is going to be very sad when Addie goes home on Sunday! (We all will be)!
