Ginny, Ginny, Ginny....

A few days ago....

Ginny: Hey Mom, guess who I am!

Mom: I don't know, who?

Ginny: President Eyring!

Notice the ring she is wearing with an eye on it..... pretty clever!
A Few Days Later......
Ginny: Hey Mom, can I put on some lip gloss?

Mom: Sure.

This is the end result!
I forgot that she had a makeup kit that was given to her for her birthday. Her preschool teacher's daughter picked it out, and her teacher apologized, knowing full well that a mess was bound to happen.

You can now call Ginny Clowny.... she will answer to that!

Is It Summer Yet?

With all of this crazy weather, I wasn't sure if it was really summer or not. Then I noticed that you can now watch Spongebob Squearepants anytime, day or night. Yup, it's summer!

My Little Inch Worm

I know that I always post about Reese, but she does so many new things... I just can't help myself!
Recently she has started scooting around on her back. She arches her back, looks upside down, then pushes off. She has rubbed the hair on the back of her head down to a wirey fuzz. It looks like her hair is singed.
Ever since she was born, she has arched her back like that, and turned her head to the side to sleep on her cheek/head. She also has to tuck her right arm underneath her. I don't get it, but it sure makes us laugh.
When we put her on her tummy she pushes up on her arms, then bobs her head up and down as though that will make her move. She sees something that she wants, then starts bobbing her head. Way too funny!
I'll have to see if I can post some video to share.
I have recently put away her bouncy chairs and bumbo seat. It sure is nice to get a little bit of my house back to normal.... until I have to put up gates. (Oh Joy)!!

Toothless No More

Reese got her first tooth a couple of days ago...... Yay!
I wasn't expecting it for 2 more months, but she surprised us all. My other 2 got theirs at 10 months, so I just assumed that she would do the same. She was a little grouchy yesterday, but still pretty happy. I am happy to say that I get just as excited when she reaches new milestones, as I did with my first 2. It is so much fun for the girls to see all her new tricks and changes.
I must say that I LOVE having nice gaps between my kids. It's almost like having my first one every time. (except that I forget everything, and our pediatrician always looks at me funny when I ask some of the questions that I do. I'm sure she's thinking, "Isn't this your 3rd?" Oh well)
It looks like Reese is now banned from anything that can be scratched with her new fang.

Free Cookies!!

This is what you get when you ask your husband to take the cookies out of the oven when the timer beeps. I had to bring dinner to a neighbor, and I had a couple of batches of cookies baking. I asked DJ to take them out when it beeped, and put the last batch in. When I got home, it appeared that he had completed his task. I turned off the ovens, and started eating dinner. Well, I gradually started to smell something burning, so I decided to investigate. I thought that maybe something was in the bottom of the oven... nope, just a batch of cookies. I asked DJ what happened and he said, "I didn't know that you use both ovens to bake cookies." Yah DJ, why would I bake one batch at a time, when I can do 2? I told DJ that he had to eat the cookies as punishment... this was one thing he actually wouldn't eat. Good thing I had turned the oven off. It's a good thing I love you DJ!!

Our St. George Trip

I know, it's about time I posted our St George trip! We had a really fun time, and left just as the bad weather rolled in.
We basically just hung out in the condo and swam. It was over 100 degrees up until the day we left, so it was perfect for swimming.
This was the first time swimming for Reese, and she thought that it was pretty fun. I only took her in the kiddie pool, so she probably thought that it was just a big bath tub.
Reese did awesome driving.... we didn't hear a peep out of her the whole time. Hopefully we can go again, only with Dad next time.
P.S. My kids really aren't that pasty white! (Just Reese)!

My Daughter, The Klepto!

Yes, that's right! My middle child is an attempted Thief!! I was at Target yesterday, and as I was finishing up, the checker quietly informed me that Ginny was hiding something. At first I thought that Ginny had just taken something from one of the bags, and was wanting to carry it out to the car. Then I noticed the funny look that she had on her face. She was obviously hiding something! As soon as she realized that we knew that she was hiding something, she pulled it out and informed us that she was just looking at the toy (a light up Yo Yo). She quickly put it back, and tried acting as though nothing had happened. I was shocked! I thanked the checker, and started out to the car. She kept on telling me that she was just looking at the Yo Yo. I, of course, pulled the "Choosing The Right" lecture. Finally, by the time we got home, she admitted that she was in fact planning on taking the toy home. After explaining what happens to thiefs (jail), she broke down in tears. It was actually pretty funny, but I do wish that I would have taken her to the store manager. That would have scared her straight!! Let's just hope that this was the first and last stealing incident! With Ginny, there's no telling what she will pull.
